If you are experiencing a difficult circumstance, including, but not limited to, grief, job loss, illness, or divorce, a Stephen Minister may be able to help. Stephen Ministers are lay people (not clergy/pastors) who have been trained to provide distinctly Christian care through once-a-week, in-person meetings with a care receiver. Stephen Ministers provide confidential care. If you are interested in being paired with a Stephen Minister, please fill out the form below.

In a family, the time of the greatest need is during the loss of a loved one. Join a team who cares for and attends to the needs of a grieving family during the funeral services. Volunteers are needed to prepare a dish, help serve a meal or help the pastors attend to the grieving family before and/or after the service. The ministry operates on an on-call basis, being available to serve when needed. Volunteers report that while serving during this time is a ministry of giving, they receive great blessings from doing so. Please contact Rev. Shirley Gross at sgross@cokesbury.tv or 865-246-0448 if you wish to volunteer or are in need of bereavement care.
Our prayer team prays over the prayer requests we receive. The prayer team serves confidentially and each person prays on their own time and schedule. To join the Prayer Team, fill out the Cokesbury Cares form above.
