MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL OFFERING
Cokesbury has partnered with Susannah’s House for years, and our Mother’s Day offering has always gone directly to their mission: supporting mothers in recovery and their children. Over the past decade, Susannah’s House has walked alongside more than 1,000 moms and children, completely free of charge.
Now, Susannah’s House is taking a Next Step. A new full-time childcare center will serve children ages 0 to 5. In addition to Susannah’s House families, the childcare center will be open to kids in the surrounding community impacted by familial substance misuse, many of them in foster or adoptive care. Cokesbury is supporting this effort with our Mother’s Day offering, which will specifically go toward building a playground at the childcare center.
For the kids enrolled at Susannah’s House, playground equipment, shade structures, and soft turf will mean more than a place to run and climb. It will mean safety, stability, joy, and a place where play becomes healing.
This is no small project—the total cost to build the playground is $120,000. Your gift to our special offering will not only honor the mothers and mother-figures in your life, it will build community. It will build hope. It will build a place where kids can just be kids.
