The Camp at Buffalo Mountain

EVERYONE is encouraged to come join the fun for our first ever intergenerational weekend retreat at the beautiful and rustic Camp at Buffalo Mountain.  We’ll have some time for fun, fellowship, growth, and reflection as we seek God’s will for our lives with our facilitator, Charles Maynard.  Children are welcome, childcare provided.  The Lodge has 17 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.  Depending on ages, children may room with parents.  All meals and snacks provided.  Just bring yourself/family, your Bible, printed Spiritual Gifts Assessment, clothes, prescription medications, and toiletries.  Please complete your spiritual gifts inventory before the retreat at  If you don’t have computer access, Jeff Crowder can help you complete the assessment.  If you don’t wish to stay overnight, you are still welcome to attend.

6:00 – 6:30 pm: Check-in

6:30 – 7:00 pm: Dinner

7:00 – 8:00 pm: Exploring our spiritual gifts (children to the playroom)

8:00 – 10:00 pm: Free time – bonfire, music, games, storytelling

10:00 pm: Quiet time/lights out

Saturday, Jan. 12

7:30 – 8:00 am: Breakfast

8:00 – 10:00 am: Session 1: Who Are We? (children to the playroom)

10:00 – 10:15 am: Break

10:15 am – 12:00 pm: Session 2: What’s Your Story?

12:00 – 12:30  pm: Lunch (children to parents)

12:30 – 2:00 pm: Session 3: Real Relationships (children to the playroom)

2:00 – 2:15 pm: Break

2:15 – 4:00 pm: Session 4: Finishing Well

4:00 pm: Check out

Please register by January 6, 2019.  A $20 donation is requested per person (but not required) to help offset costs ($65 maximum per family).  Please make checks payable to CUMC with “retreat” in the memo line and send to Cokesbury Church, 110 Mary St., Johnson City, TN  37615 (or give to Ashley Jones at church).
