Hope Initiative is a ministry offered to families facing struggles. Through it, families have an opportunity to draw closer to Jesus, to build up a support system, receive a delicious meal, and to receive tutoring for students. Hope Initiative is for anyone facing a struggle in life. It is particularly helpful for families seeking to find a path out of poverty.
How to enroll: families may join Hope Initiative at the start of a new semester in August or January by emailing Katie at
How can I volunteer at Hope Initiative?
Hope Initiative is currently seeking volunteers to serve in the following areas:
Homework Helper - Partner one-one-one with a child or youth participant to listen to, pray for, and encourage him or her. Assist with homework on Tuesday evenings.
Nursery Volunteer - Provide loving childcare for nursery age children on Tuesday evenings while their parents enjoy adult fellowship, build up a support system, and learn new skills to help them grow.
Adult Partner - Partner one-one-one with an adult participant to listen to, pray for, and encourage him or her. You will go through the evening together Tuesdays during Hope Initiative and we ask that you contact your partner one other time each week (phone, text, email, etc.)
Financial Coach - Individuals with a financial background partner with an individual or couple to offer financial coaching and empowerment for a fixed amount of time.
