What is Hope Connection?
An outreach ministry to low-income families that seeks to build relationships that lead to financial stability and overall well-being. By first building a relationship, we are able to better understand each individual’s situation and focus on creating lasting change in their quality of life. During this process, volunteers meet with families and get to know their story. In many cases, our team can provide tools for success and offer support along the way.
How do we work?
A team of compassionate volunteers meet with program participants to assist in navigating through challenges, and begin a journey towards stronger financial and spiritual well-being. Volunteers will often refer to or engage with other Cokesbury ministries and local service agencies for additional support.
Do we provide financial assistance?
In some cases financial assistance may be provided, depending upon income and family household size. It is important to understand that Hope
Connection is not a quick fix nor is it a promise of financial assistance.
Who do we serve?
Referrals, including self-referrals, may come from the church body or from the community.
A note for referrals: We have found that when a person has a supportive relationship, their chance of a successful outcome increases greatly. When appropriate, we encourage those making a referral to partner with Hope Connection by walking alongside the family or individual during the process.
